Chas Cook, Owner

Tawnia Cook, Manager/Fitness Director

A Kinesiology graduate from the University of Ottawa, Tawnia was drawn to Collingwood's active lifestyle and friendly vibe and has been part of Mountain Fitness for three years.   Tawnia is a certified personal trainer and sports specialist, as well as an experienced physiotherapy assistant.  Tawnia is committed to continually furthering her education and has certifications in Aqua Therapy, Zumba Dance, BounceFit, and many others.  This diverse knowledge base of fitness approaches and techniques, together with her contagious enthusiasm for health and fitness makes Tawnia   is both effective and contagious.

Jeff White, Group Fitness Instructor

Born and raised in the Collingwood area, Jeff is an experienced martial arts instructor, holding  a second Degree ranking in Tae Kwon Do.  Jeff also teaches Cardio-Kickboxing,  a full body, fast-paced workout.   Jeff's lighthearted teaching style make his classes fun, while still getting the job done!

Rebecca Gordon, Group Fitness Instructor

Rebecca's enthusiasm as a group fitness instructor is unparallelled!   Rebecca's many certifications include  Canfit Pro Group Fitness Instructor (FIS), Reebok Spin, Nordic Pole, PIYO and INSANITY by Beachbody, all of which she incorporates in her fun and effective classes.   Rebecca loves the energy exchange between herself, the participants and the music and uses that energy to motivate you to do your best every time!

Rachelle Gura, Group Fitness Instructor

Leaping away from a management position inside the Matrix, her initial 200hr RYT training completed with a Vedic priest, Sundeep Tyagi in 2006 only sparked what is now a burning fire of awareness and drive toward knowing everything about the human body. Armed with science based education from Yoga Tune Up®, her practice then become a study in biomechanics and an expression of better movement patterns to combat the new texting posture culture. Allow her to help you, help yourself. With additional education in life couching, pilates, reiki, and NLP, this girl can get your head and body ready for the serious game of life.

Anna Holancin, Pilates Instructor

Anna’s comprehensive approach includes: Provision of Pilates (either Matt or Reformer) in conjunction with any physiotherapy &/or Chiropractic services required to assist in your recovery process.  One-on-one or small group Pilates sessions to either enhance your present conditioning regime or assist in making recovery from your injury permanent.  Provision of either Reflexology, Reiki or Indian Head massage to assist in reducing stress, improving circulation and increasing oxygen to the body’s tissue.

Rochelle Chrisiensen, Yoga Instructor

Rochelle is a graduate of the yoga program at Georgian College. She completed her training in 2009 and has been teaching yoga for 8 years. Rochelle is a dedicated teacher of our Gentle Vinyasa class.  She is a mother of two fantastic children and has been happily married for the past 18 years.  Rochelle  has volunteered with the Georgian Bay Humane Society for the past 7 1/2 yearrs where she was responsible for the strays, surrenders and adoption of the dogs.

Steve Danylchuk, Membership Coordinator

Born and raised in Collingwood, Stevo is the evening face of Mountain Fitness. With a friendly personality and passion for health and fitness Stevo dedicates his time in the gym to making members feel welcome and assisting them in any way possible. Stevo's Seven years experience in the field have lead him to become one of the most regonised faces in Collingwood's fitness industry. When it comes to finding inspiration and getting motivated Stevo is your go to guy in the gym!

Stephen Helm, Membership Coordinator

Born and raised in England, Stephen moved to Canada with his family in 1998. Since moving to Collingwood he has played a strong role in the Collingwood Soccer Club winning various honours at youth and adult level. After attending Georgian College in Barrie Stephen possesses a strong background in Sales and Marketing. Stephen now looks to combined his love for fitness with his business talent and drive. As a student of the industry he is currently training for his CanFit Pro Certification. You'll always find him in the gym working hard on his career and his fitness.
